Stablecoin Summer and Q3 has been a busy time for the Mento Labs, with exciting milestones achieved! 🎉 Stablecoin adoption is accelerating across the Mento ecosystem.

We are grateful for the incredible support of our partners in driving real-world use cases of digital assets!

Mento Labs’ team is also working on MENTO Airdrop "Episode 2," aiming to reward additional supporters who wish to actively contribute to the Mento Community and shape the future of the Mento Platform.

July News and Events

News: The Mento dApp has been launched within the MiniPay ecosystem. The Mento dApp enables MiniPay users to interact with the Mento Platform. Users can also earn cUSD and MENTO token rewards for saving and transacting in their cUSD Pocket until Oct 1st. ⏳ Mento’s highly efficient AMM infrastructure is integrated into MiniPay wallet to power the “Pockets” feature. The aim of the swapping feature of the Mento Platform is to provide users with the flexibility to select and exchange the currency they want without any additional fees. 💰

News: The Mento ecosystem and Celo Philippines DAO announced the launch of PUSO, a decentralized stablecoin pegged to Philippines Peso on the Mento Platform. This marks the sixth stablecoin for mobile payments available on the Mento Platform, built on the Celo blockchain. With more than 10 million digital assets users across the country, the Philippines proudly becomes the first Asian nation with a decentralized local currency stablecoin on Mento. Read more. 🇵🇭

Mento Labs in partnership with Fonbnk and Valora have launched a $50,000 prize pool (6,450,000 cKES) to support the cKES launch, now available to users! 🎁 For details, check out this blog post.

At ETHSafari the Mento Labs, Celo and MiniPay teams celebrated MiniPay’s first birthday on our booth together with the community. 🎂 This has been a fantastic milestone activating over 3.5 million wallets across 7 African countries in just a year!
